United Against Hate Week

By Susan Beckstead, long time Pierce Street neighbor

Please join our Alamo Square neighbors in standing up against hate. Currently the neighbors of Alamo Square are rallying in supporting the Williams family, who were subjected to horrific anti-Black hate crimes and a devastating fire. United Against Hate Week, which runs from September 21-27, 2024, allows communities nationwide to unite against hate and promote inclusion, equity, and justice. By standing together as neighborhoods, we can create a safe and inclusive environment for all.

Every action counts. Together, we can turn this moment into a powerful movement against hate. For information on how to get involved, please visit the UAHW website and sign up today. Together, we can make a difference and show that hate has no place in our community.

Get Involved:

·       Visit unitedagainsthateweek.org and participate in UAHW events from September 21-27, 2024.

·       Host or attend community discussions and screenings.

·       Display UAHW posters and spread the word through social media.

·       Join fundraising efforts to support victims of hate crimes.

We can unite against hate and build a stronger, more inclusive community.
