  • Request: to ensure the language in the ordinance aligns with the findings outlined in the document created by the Planning Department regarding protection of historic features signifying the production of intangible LGBTQ culture, request being made that the committee clarify language in the ordinance, shifting it from describing “the presence of seating” to “fixed theatrical seating configured in movie-palace style.”

o   Friends of Castro Theatre Coalition Preservation Policy & Practice Working Group submitted letter to BOS Land Use and Transportation Committee supporting request.
