Tonight, December 10, 2024, Jon Moscone (Noe St.) was elected the 2025 DTNA President and three new Directors were elected: Nathanial Edwards (Steiner St.), Leah Culver (Walter St.), and Pavan Yedavalli (Noe St.). Also joining the 2025 Board: Bob Bush (Vice President – Beaver St.), David Troup (Secretary – 15th St.), Paige Rausser Grey (Treasurer – Beaver St.), Erik Honda (Editor – 15th St.), Kimyn Braithwaite (Director – Sanchez St.), Dennis Richards (Director – Beaver St.), Eric Munsing (Director – 16th St.)
The Bylaws Revision supported by the Board passed (Vote 25 to 0). Going forward Amendment voting will be by all members online or by paper ballot rather than those in-person at a meeting. There will be due notice and discussion of amendments at a Public Meeting, and the vote will be taken at the next public meeting.
Frank Tizedes’ Voting Amendment failed (Vote 1 to 24) after a spirited discussion supporting DTNA being inclusive of all voices in our diverse neighborhood.
At the December 10, 2024, Public Meeting, Jeffrey Dumlao introduced his new floral boutique, Chartreuse by Roje, on Church Street. He is looking to have a Holiday function on Sunday, December 22, 2024, featuring local artists and craftsmen. Supervisor Rafael Mandelman gave an update of City Affairs. Dennis Richards updated the Housing Element status. And Nathanial Edwards reminded us that the next Wiggle Fest will be in April.
